Your Bio

My name is Jason Ksepka.

I spent my life turning rocks looking at salamanders, swimming through muck catching turtles, and getting bitten by snakes. As I have grown, I have had the great fortune to meet some wonderful folks that were happy to share with me what they had gained through their experiences. I truly am standing on the shoulders of giants, and I am deeply grateful for those shoulders.

I achived a B.S.F in Forestry, and a B.S. in Fisheries/Wildlife Sciences (Wildlife emphasis) at the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Since arming myself with a camera, I have been able to stop collecting things and bringing them home (sorry Mom, I guess had we known earlier, you could have gotten me a camera and avoided countless pockets full of caterpillars), and begin focusing on seeing new things and experiencing them through the lens rather than with my hands.

My hope for my photos is simply that I can share them with others. I fundamentally believe that people will not be interested in saving something, such as a rare species or an endangered habitat, if they don't know it exists.

Please contact me if you have any questions about an image, I will do my best to answer it. Be Well, Jason
